Cat's Corner

Oh how I wish the summer was still here! I miss being able to wake up on my own time, work out on my own time and then head to the “office” to play a game. Those are the best times. I can’t wait for summer to come once again, and for the Thunder to take root in a new town. The waiting is killing all of us, but some good things are in store, and when the announcement is made, I think everyone will be excited.

Triple Threat camps have taken off. We’ve done three so far: two in Texas and one in Alabama. Our next one – in Williamsport, Pa. - is the biggest we have scheduled so far. It’s exciting to see all the girls’ faces every morning and get them excited to learn new things. Our Q&A sessions have provided some really interesting questions, but we love to share our passion with everyone.

Megan and IMegan Willis has become a full-time member of our staff. Of course, I rave about her every time I bring her up, but on top of everything I’ve already said about her, she’s wonderful with the kids. My favorite line of hers comes when she’s teaching the catchers. She will point to her face and say, “We have to protect our money-makers, ladies!” Now you know why she removes her helmet as much as possible! ;)

The academic quarter is almost over, so I have a few more weeks of classes before a good long winter break. I am already excited about Thanksgiving week. A few college friends and I are using her parents’ time share and going to Vail! We’ve been planning it for five or six months now, and our flights are finally booked. It will be my first Thanksgiving on my own without softball.

I wish I had more to report on, but not a lot has happened. I think I’m finally over any and all sicknesses I’ve had this fall. If I get anymore, I think I might need to live in a bubble.

Look for announcements about the Thunder, the NPF, and even the Cat Osterman Experience to come soon! =)
