Athletes Go For the Gold with the Nutrients in Milk
When it comes to the games in Beijing this summer, staying in shape is everything. With schedules packed with intense physical training, eating right and trying to get enough sleep, competing athletes know that every second counts. That's why it's important to drink milk. Its unique mix of nutrients helps athletes refuel after competition so they can get back in the game.
Ten of America's finest athletes destined for greatness in Beijing are the latest stars to join the Body By Milk campaign, designed to encourage teens to drink 3 glasses of lowfat or fat free milk each day, eat right and get active to stay healthy, lean and strong. Other athletes to recently sport the iconic 'stache include: Steve Nash, Vince Carter and David Beckham.
The ad copy reads, "Stars need stripes. Looking for gold? Don't forget the white. Milk is a great choice after exercise, with protein to help build muscle and a unique mix of nutrients to refuel. So train hard and drink lowfat or fat free milk. Talk about a strong team." The ad hits newsstands on July 23 in Sports Illustrated.
